Ambient lighting for the plebs.

What is the thing with ambient lighting in cars these days? If it’s somewhat subdued, I MIGHT understand it, but it seems the masses like to believe they have a luxury vehicle, and really crave that shit.
Well, who the F wants to have lots of strong LED’s lighting up the whole cabin while driving?! What’s the actual point? I feel this is yet another one of these fads in new cars, where EVERYONE suddenly needs ambient lighting… Much like the screenification of cars nowadays, in my opinion, this is a bullshit idea. Mercedes Hyperscreen anyone?!
I switched my ambient lighting all off.
