Damaged Door - Help Please?

Hi everyone,

Today I sadly discovered someone has opened their door on my rear door which has dinked it.

There seems to be a small indentation in the panel with a touch of paint which I think can be T-Cut out.

Regarding the indentation does anyone have any advice? I was thinking to try a small suction cup, but would prefer to hear sensible ideas from you all please incase I’m wrong?

Thanks!

Depends on the ding - how big, where it is etc. If you've got the other car's paint on your door rather than the other way around, I would try a decent polishing compound and a quick buzz over with a random orbital polisher to avoid any holograms.

Dent wise, i'd leave it to dent devils or similar franchises.

Do you have a picture of damaged area, so we can evaluate?

My local dent devil specialist was so quick to do a small parking dint on out A4's door, I felt a little ripped off. He charged £70, which I though wad reasonable for stripping door cards off etc, but he stuck an inflatable pad in to create a gap, 2 mins with a small rubber roller on the inside and it was good as new.

If it took him 30 mins rather than 5 mins I'd have felt it was value for money!

paintless dent removal is the way to go. Sure, it may take him longer to set up his tools than the actual repair time.... But you are paying for his tools and experience.

Yeah that's correct, I bought the hot glue gear & it works a treat, shame I'm up north though sorry 😞
