Rear speakers, OBD11 & the "Audio Gateway"

Excuse my terminology if wrong, but I don't have any experience of obd11, I had a hooky copy of VCDS years ago but can barely remember it.
The main thing that's annoying me right now (having not realised when I bought it) is the quality of the sound and the lack of rear speakers. I've seen the various threads on the id.3 forum and on speak EV (https://www.speakev.com/threads/id-3-re ... -on.156653) but was wondering if anyone with access to OBD11 can confirm that the audio module is locked out in the Born for retro-fitting the rear speakers.
I'd like to be able to add something like the KUFATEC kit (https://www.kufatec.com/en/seat/born/bo ... -k11-47402) but don't fancy trying to get the dealer to code it/unlock the module for me.
I know @BettyW was looking at the idea, but wondering if anyone could confirm/deny the possibility.
