Rear speakers, OBD11 & the "Audio Gateway"

Excuse my terminology if wrong, but I don't have any experience of obd11, I had a hooky copy of VCDS years ago but can barely remember it.

The main thing that's annoying me right now (having not realised when I bought it) is the quality of the sound and the lack of rear speakers. I've seen the various threads on the id.3 forum and on speak EV (https://www.speakev.com/threads/id-3-re ... -on.156653) but was wondering if anyone with access to OBD11 can confirm that the audio module is locked out in the Born for retro-fitting the rear speakers.

I'd like to be able to add something like the KUFATEC kit (https://www.kufatec.com/en/seat/born/bo ... -k11-47402) but don't fancy trying to get the dealer to code it/unlock the module for me.

I know @BettyW was looking at the idea, but wondering if anyone could confirm/deny the possibility.

There was a guy on the speakev forum who managed it for his id3, but he spent about £1800 doing it at the time, then sold the ID3 not long afterwards to get a Tesla.

I’m just on with this, nothing in OBDeleven as I can find, kufatec say it needs dealer unlocking afterwards before you use coding dongle.
But kelectronics have kit and dongle, according to website dongle does the coding without visiting dealers.

No not yet, was hoping I could just buy the looms, speakers are on eBay for £20 each and hopefully OBDeleven are supposed to be unlocking this option, but if it’s going to be age’s then might just bight the bullet.

Probably a stupid question but does anyone know if it’s possible to get the Beats Audio extra installed via dealer after collection?

I’m presuming not and also would think if it was possible there would be a lengthy wait?

I’ve asked my dealer, and he couldn’t find it as an option.

Looks like it now may be possible to code rear speakers with OBDeleven
