Software Version
Update from PT - still no software updates... complained though every channel possible, basically got nothing back other than,
"there are no updates available for your car" .
No mention of when there might be despite asking. customer service on this front is AWFUL!

Does anyone know what happens with the Born one editions? Mine is currently on version 3.0 (0333), but already received the new 12V battery. Shouldn't it be on 3.1 after that? Or will it simply not be visible? i read that the born one update after the " recall" is a light version of 3.1?
Anyone that could shed some light on this?

As of today in Germany (where the largest number of Borns are located), all owners of Borns with software below 3.0, namely 2.3 / 2.4, can request an appointment at their dealer to update the software to 3.x.
This includes replacing the 12V battery whose capacity/BMS weren't suitable to the massive 6-8h required for this update.

In time there should be OTA updates for all those with 3.0. I'm not sure if they'll be bumped up to 3.2 or if everyone with 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2 will simultaneously be upgraded to 3.5, which is what the Buzz currently ships with.CupraVlox wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 6:47 amDoes anyone know what happens with the Born one editions? Be careful what you wish for.
One of the first members of the German Born forum to get this done is now on day 5 of his "1-day" update with no end in sight as it keeps failing 1/3 of the way through. The diagnostic software is claiming he has an incorrect control unit in the vehicle which the mechanic says is impossible. The vehicle is obviously inoperable until it finishes.
fwiw during every stage of the the update flashing each control unit, the results have to be verified with the VW server.

YouTuber "ID.Furkan" just had his ID.3 updated to 3.2 and interestingly, the software version says "0561" which is exactly what it says in my Born.

I believe @Elea4 has mentioned that previously, that screen doesn't tell you if your car is 3.1 or 3.2

It's true, at least in the Born it doesn't display the ID version anywhere. Also, it has been determined that 0561 can be 3.1 or 3.2 (at least for the Born). Just thought it was interesting.

Indeed, looks as if the next revision will make it clearer.
