My Born (production autumn 2022 I think, delivered early 2023) has the same hardware (H30) and software (0561). I took it to a dealer for various recalls last week including - I hoped - the software update. But from posts here I’m not sure they actually updated to the v3.2.1 software? I don’t understand why Cupra talks on their website about this v3.2.1 but then refers to software with different codes in the infotainment, it’s ridiculous.

My local dealer said I am “on the latest software” but is being evasive about this v3.2.1 update and/or doesn’t know about it themselves. I haven’t noticed any change or improvement in the software since I got the car back.

Urgh I’m so annoyed. Cupradigitalsupport informed me by reply to an email on this that “We would like to kindly inform you that Software 0561 corresponds to 3.2.0, so your car has not received the latest update. To update your car further you need to visit the workshop.”

So the dealer lied or was wrong about the work they did and now I have no confidence if I give them the car back again they’d even know how to do this software update. It’s an official Cupra recall how is this so difficult?!!!

Trying to summarise the Born software -> ID software mapping, based on information I've read in https://www.born-forum.de:

0561: 3.1, 3.2 or 3.2.1 depending on build date of the car
1701: 3.4 or 3.5
1731: 3.6
1741: also 3.6

It seems like the earliest that any cars will get an OTA update is some time in 2024, but nothing is guaranteed.

0299: 3.7 (OTA)

Very much looking forward to this OTA update as it updates the display software to 6091 and will eliminate much of the massive touchscreen lag:

Is there any way from differences in 3.2.1 to tell that you're on it without relying on a crazy software labelling system that doesn't differentiate in the version screens? Mine went in yesterday for its upgrade and its come back basically all the same as it went in:

Hardware: H30
Software: 0561
Display unit/control panel hardware: H45
Display unit/control panel software: 6085
Navigation database: 23.10
Media Codec: 3.1.4
V2, no eBoost, in Blue.
Took the DCC and panoramic roof options.

No, pretty sure there is no way for *us* to distinguish between 3.2 and 3.2.1. Internally there must be a way, but I have no clue about that.
