Funnily enough, I've never noticed the sound from the inside on the car. However, I guess it must be there as you guys have been hearing it. So I googled and this came up.

Couple of comments:

1. Pretty sure that the only sound mine makes is the mechanical noise of the motor. Certainly, if it produces any synthetic sound at all, it's so subtle as to not have been worth the bother doing.
2. Sweet baby Jesus, that article is awful!
Although an electric car produces zero emissions, it can still generate an infinite number of emotions. This is the case of the CUPRA Born, the brand’s first 100% electric model, which not only delivers excitement through its design, but also through its sound.
I now need to clean the remains of my lunch from the gaps on my keyboard! I'd like to present this article in sole evidence as to why marketing people should not be allowed to leave their homes and interact with the public.

The sound is louder externally than from the inside ans it’s for pedestrians and cuts out at 20 mph. If you drive slowly with the windows open you should be able to hear it.

I'm with you. If you sit in the car with windows up and fan off you can hear a kind of background low frequency hum. I picked up on it up when I collected my car. The Salesman unlocked and tested 2 other cars and confirmed it was the pedestrian warning sound.
As for the article. Daern summed it up nicely. 👌
