First impression, camera’s front/rear have good image quality but need to do night driving to be sure.

Lovely job on the rear camera install.

Did you route straight down the centre of the car over the headlining? If so any issues or did you manage to rod it through easily enough??

You removed the bracket and taped it which looks much better but does it provide the right angle for rear view?

Having lived with the cam for a while how do you find it?? What’s the quality like?

Yes I went down the drivers side upper trim but you need to avoid the curtain airbags.

The quality is ok, I’m sure there’s better but I wanted the factory look.

You can get them from AliExpress.

This is for a complete set but you can also just get wiring loom by itself. I'm on hols at the moment so don't have the links to hand. Just work through Ali and you'll come across it. Search id4 too, as it's the same.

I’ve just managed to fit the adjustable boot floor, I wanted to hide the space saver wheel but had to modify it to fit.

I’ve had to modify the left/right supports as they needed to be lifted slightly, still managed to use the factory captive nuts so it’s very sturdy and hides space saver perfectly.

That looks really useful/good. Did the mods reduce the strength of the floor at all? By how much did you have to lift them? Was it just packing up?

To be fair, most of the load is on the spare wheel, the side supports are bolted into the factory mounts, it all feels very sturdy, I think I’ve only lifted it about 3cm after removing the original boot carpet.

Is the tailgate any harder to close? Just concerned that the false floor lip potentially encroaching into the latching area to cause rubbing of the tailgate paint (inside edges).. I don't think it should, but having had latching problems and tailgate paint rubbing on a previous Polo GTI, it's something I keep an eye out for.

It’s just clear, I was thinking this would be a problem too before I started, folded the seats down got in the back and got the wife to close the boot a few times, I think my neighbour’s think I’m mad
