Ceramic coating today

Decided today to give Betty a treat !
Clay bar followed by opti-gloss ceramic coatin then ultra water repellent.
Just got to keep her dry for a few days now.

What products did you use and would you recommend? I’m not sure about a clay bar on brand new paint but it looks great!

Only had to clay bar the upper rear bumper and front upper part where plastic from factory didn’t cover as it was covered in tiny rust marks probably the train journey up from Germany, had this before, sparks from overhead train cables.

I used opti-gloss, not very well known but it’s very good, used it before on previous cars, it comes in two parts, enough to give two coats of ceramic then a water repellent.

That’s great, thanks for the link. Pretty good value too considering how much I pay for Autoglym.

That looks really nice Vapour Grey is the best colour by a mile and easy to keep clean and i should think its the fastest and most economical colour as well :D

I'd not use that because I've nowhere to guarantee the paintwork stays dry (rain) for the curing period. I use G-Techniq C2V3 every 6 months

Ive always used a product called Matrix Blue had a black touareg done with it to great effect
