Starting to get a bit fed up of various little issues that I'm getting earache from the wife about and are winding me up. The car is incredibly good apart from these weird little software issues.

1. Sometimes when getting in and selecting the user, the electric seat won't go back to the correct position automatically. You have the memory button so you can press that. Doesn't happen very often.

2. The window controls on the driver's side goes dead. The whole panel stops working. Happened once and not again since. I haven't witnessed this.

3. Says depress brake to select drive or reverse (or whatever it normally says) but doesn't respond to pressing the brake. Have to get out, lock the car, unlock and then it works. It's happened twice to the wife and again I haven't seen it myself.

4. Twice out of maybe 25 overnight charges with IoG + Ohme ePod, the charging stops unexpectedly around 4am ish. First time we needed the car at 100% for a long journey and then was late because we had to charge on the way. The second time was last night and it's incredibly frustrating because you just can't absolutely rely on it to be charged in the morning. Ohme pulled the logs and say the car went into suspendedEV mode so they're saying the car refused to accept any more charge and of course at that point I'm going to have to unplug and replug before it'll work again. Cupra say bring it in for a diagnostic but I'm absolutely sure they'll find nothing. Why can't Ohme and Cupra just allow me to pull the logs myself?

It seems that the engineering of the car is brilliant until you get to the software. VAG or maybe just Cupra are really let down by this. It's not just them though. Octopus have been a pain with their app and the combination of IOG, Ohme and Cupra is really awkward sometimes.

Known problem. There's a button on the right side of the steering column cowl, It toggles the "ignition" on and off. Look for it next time you get in the car. It saves you having to get out/in. Not many people know about it!

I have Octopus (with Zappi) and, yes, it is a nuisance initially, but once you get it set up and stable, it works brilliantly. This has been discussed in several previous threads so there's lots of info on here.

She's adamant she tried the on/off button because I said that should have sorted it but she reckoned it did the same until she got out, locked it, unlocked it and then it worked. I don't know, I'd have to see for myself.

On the whole IOG with Ohme has been great but I had problems at first because I set it to talk to the car instead of the charger. And the car can get unresponsive sometimes depending on mobile signal so I did as Ohme recommended and set Octopus to sync with the charger instead. Except then, the Octopus app wouldn't let me add devices to IOG because it claimed I didn't have a smart meter despite it happily talking to my Octopus Mini for live data. Then they sent a renewal through which took me off IOG but didn't answer any emails about if I should accept the renewal or not if I'm on IOG. I had to go through to Greg's office in the end to get it escalated. They said next time to email to do a renewal if on IOG, even though that's precisely what I did. Anyway, those problems aside, as long as I ignore the vast array of app notifications from both Ohme and Cupra overnight about could not start charging or charging finished unexpectedly etc, it works great and we have a warm car for 07:20 with 80% every morning.

However. I think I've spotted a pattern with the 2 times it's stopped charging at 60 something %. It's happened both times at just past 4am on a Sunday morning. First time was Sunday 20th October. Now it's Sunday 10th November. As a DevOps engineer I know that stuff that happens at recurring times is never a coincidence. I'm willing to bet good money that the Cupra backend maintenance window is 04:00 on Sunday mornings and the car is trying to communicate for licences or something while they're doing some maintenance or a new backend release and eventually gives up about 04:20. I may be wrong but this feels about right.
