They are high end sports tyres. I'd put them on a Golf R, but would be a waste on a Cupra Born. I'd go the normal PS4 or PS5. There's no bad Michelins though.

How about the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 EV as used with the Born 20 inch wheels?. We like them, good grip and handling.

They came fitted from factory to my Leon 1.5 TSi.

Definitely PS4 S rather than standard PS4? You hit the VAG tyre jackpot there. I got crappy Bridgestone Potenzas on my Audi S3, PS4 S would've been much more appropriate for that car.

MPS EV are only in the 235 width it seems, I have them but have that weird cavity noise from them, not as bad as when new. But certainly my winter tyres now have a slight whine from the tread, but no drone like the MPS EV, so I wouldn't recommend the MSP EV anyway.

I wouldn't go for the MSP S version, would be a waste of extra cost ( a lot) unless you really would use the extra grip.

If you want a good tyre, there is plenty choice, things like the Goodyear efficient Grip, Eco contact, or Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 3 (half the price of MPS S!).

A good channel for tyre reviews is below, if you are mad into tyres like me, then this is good to watch, although I don't recall are particular review about EV tyres.

Really interesting to see this, I just had the tyres changed on my Born and I couldn't believe how worn the back tyres were compared to the fronts. I had heard this was an issue with EVs due to weight and torque, but it still caught me by surprise. Assume the old advice of circa-20,000 miles for a set of tyres is toast when driving an EV?

Gee, this is surprising! I would hope for 30,000 kms as a minimum...

My Born came with Michelin Pilot Sport here in Australia. Up to 7,000 kms, I am going to check them tomorrow.

I’m at 6800 miles, rears wearing much more than fronts so I’m going to swap rears and fronts around today and get a price for Michelins while there.
