What’s the difference between
CUPRA charge
And
Plug and Charge
Thanks folks
Charge v plug and charge
Ideally, Plug and Charge (PnC) automatically authorizes charging when you plug it in.
It needs to be enabled in the My CUPRA app, whereby a digital certificate is issued to your Born in order to authorize a charging transaction.
This can be irritating though if you use multiple charging cards and don't want to automatically pay with Cupra Charging (provided by VW Elli).
Charging networks that support PnC will provide you with a PCID-Number (Provisioning Certificate Identifier) which can somehow be loaded in the My CUPRA app. I've never done it, so can't provide any more info on how to add it there.

Ok thanks for the reply. I guess the only way to really find out is to go out and try and charge publicly.
Thankfully not the normal situation for me, I have work chargers and home chargers so I can manage 99% of the time with either of those.
