Hoping someone can help on this as I emailed the dealership I ordered my car from on the 15th December (they advised a price increase after the 18th which I don't think has happened) on the agreement that I would receive the car in May 25.
I emailed the dealer on the 18th Feb (morning) and let them know that I was starting the process to return my current lease car and that it would be good to have an idea of time scale for my car coming and when in May I could take delivery.
I then received an email from Cupra direct to thank me for my order and that it had been accepted and that my dealer would be in touch with me every step of the way. I now have an order number.
The next email I received was in the afternoon from the salesman at the dealership advising that they are keeping an eye on the car arriving but at the moment do not have a definite date but we can accommodate the dates , whatever suits best.
Am I being overly suspicious in the order number being received that day .......as if the order has just been placed?? I had seen some information about Cupra delays due to lack of components available and wondering if it is likely from an order number (is this pre build??) to car arriving in 8 weeks is likely?
Any advise is appreciated
order email received - confused over date?
