How long have others had to wait for your car?

I have Quasar Grey one with interior option on order but in typical VW group style they are terrible at updates or even giving a firm ETA on delivery, it was custom as there wasn't any of that colour coming into the country ( I mean there was but didn't want to bother with performance pack)

I emailed the dealer and he said its on the boat, so I guess 2 months at this point ?

Mine took 7 months. On the boat could mean anything depending on where the boat stops along the way. Also once it gets to Oz it can take at least a couple of weeks to go through Prixcar and registration. Mine came through Melbourne, maybe Sydney will be different.

Oh yeah thats true, although it seems according to their stock site the car's are coming in fairly regular shipments now.
I emailed the dealer cause I noticed that their site says 10 weeks for a similar model as the one I ordered (14-15 weeks in reality) but he said it will be much shorter than that for mine 🤷‍♀️
haha he could be Bs'ing me, either way I dont mind the wait.

We ordered in Feb and were advised a Jul/oct window. It is turning out to be early mid august. Our car is in the July boat currently heading to the east cost from WA.

Oh so I had a look over at some threads on Whirlpool and someone posted the shipping tracker at https://www.hoeghautoliners.com/my-cargo
and once I put my VIN in its definitely not on the boat yet!

We were advised of the vin - and the fact it sas waiting to be shipped - then just periodically did a check with the shippers.

Our car is on the Jacksonville heading to Port Kembla….

Purchased (in Brisbane): 14 July 2023 and advised wait time was approx. 11 weeks.
White + Interior option.

VIN entered here: https://www.hoeghautoliners.com/my-cargo

Vessel: HÖEGH TARGET
Voyage No.: 48
Load port: Bremerhaven
Planned load: 23.06.2023
Departure date: 03.07.2023
Discharge port: Fremantle
Arrival date: 11.08.2023

Guessing:
2 weeks to unload and clear customs and another 1 week to arrive in Brisbane
Plus another week for Ceramic Coating and Window Film application

So, I'm hoping closer to 9 weeks (ie mid-Sept.) 🤞.

EDIT (21 August):
I've recently been advised by Cupra Aust. that they're now expecting delivery close to mid-September. 😁

Edit (21 Sept.):
I picked it up yesterday.
10 weeks wait total and I'm so enjoying my new car.
I gather wait times are now mostly only a couple of weeks.

Oh interesting angusj,
I bought early June but the Vin search appears with no results. I'm hopeful mine is in the same batch haha
