Hello All.
We are eagerly awaiting delivery of our Cupra Born (in Australia) and I was wondering whether you can charge it with a Tesla wall charger. We have a Tesla Model 3 with a Tesla wall charger and it would be great to use the same charger for both cars.
Thanks!

Assuming your Tesla charger uses a type 2 connector can't see why not.

Hi Peter!

I charge mine at work with a Tesla wallbox: No issue whatsoever :)

Cheers!

I believe it works as long as the Tesla charger is set to charge any car - they can be set to Tesla only.

Hey,

Gen 1 tesla charger any car, assuming plug type correct. Gen 2 tesla charger is locked to tesla only. Gen 3 tesla charger can be set to tesla only or any car.

I have installed a tesla at home to charge my born in Australia, actually took delivery of the car on Friday last week.

Thanks for all your suggestions.
I have Gen 2 Tesla charger (type 2 plug) from 2019 (yes, I was an early adopter). Google suggests that one of the dip switches inside the unit can be set to allow any car to charge. However, later software releases for the Tesla Gen 2 wall charger ignored the dip switch setting. So it looks like once we get the Born, we'll have to suck it and see.
Cheers.

Yes I change mine with no issues at my parents Tesla charger. And more recently at the all users roadside superchargers.
