Ambient lighting problems

Hi all, how did people get on with the patchy ambient light? Is repair covered under warranty?

Since today I got the same issues with the ambient lighting. Drivers side is patchy just like yours.. You can somewhat see it on the picture. All the way to the right it's nice and bright red followed by a darker part, then at the edge on the top bright again. Passenger side some fading as well.. Looks like some LEDs just burned out.. Booked a repair on the 26th of October.

How did you get on with your repair? Assume they had to take off door card? Seems awkward to get to?

I set mine pretty dim and have no idea if they remember the colour or are patchy or not. Utterly pointless imho, no idea why lights in doors is a thing. And why would I want to change the colour? I guess because colour changing lights strips exist they have to stick some into modern cars because of reasons!

Hey, so they were very hesitant at first. They said they needed to replace the entire door panel and the lights were "working" it's a diffuser instead of a whole led strip so it would be normal to see some patches here and there... I insisted on repairing it under warranty and they did.. Took several weeks to get the part.
It's replaced now and no more patches... So I would get it fixed under warranty.
