Hi, to save me a journey to the dealership can anyone advise how the number plates tend to be fixed to the car? I loathe screw fixing and always fix by sticky pads.
When I pick up my new car my thought is to let them know ahead and take in number plates myself ( so I don't have any garage advertising on the plate) and wondered if anyone can advise if it is just standard plates that i would need to purchase? I also don't want the green band
I did not look when I went for a test drive but have now ordered my V2 for later this year

Just out of interest, why do people dislike the green on EV number plates?
I had a similar thought as I had no issue with the green mark (certainly not enough to refuse a car for) but just had a chat with a family member yesterday who had changed his plates. He is convinced he has seen less road rage from other drivers after getting rid of the green markers. I was surprised to think other drivers could be that enraged by an EV!
I don’t have any issue with the green badge tbh, but I also don’t see the point.
I don’t understand why it’s anybodies business what fuel type my car is.
The rejecting the car issue is much more simple, If I’m buying something and I tell the sales person in no uncertain terms what I expect for my money then I expect to receive the product I’m paying for as specified by me.
Had a similar issue with a kitchen some years back, I explained very clearly verbally and in writing that the existing ceiling was to be replaced, not plastered over, and that once the old ceiling was removed I needed 4 hours for a technician to run cables. Plasterer turned up and said he was skimming over the old ceiling, kicked him out and called my solicitor. Next day new plasterer ripped out the old ceiling and I made him breakfast while the technician ran the cables.
I paid £47k in cash for the car, the dealer f####d up, their issue to correct not mine.

Not a question of dislike, as the green does not go with the colour of the car, being mettalic blue, along with the copper / dark grey trimmings. However, the plates have remained on!

Did that make you feel like a big boy?
No need to didn’t shout or threaten just showed my emails explaining what I had specified. You don’t need to be a big boy to understand a written order forms part of a contract.

Had lot's of occasions where drivers of ICE motors would not let me merge in traffic, too many to be just a coincidence.
