Hi All, I’ve just received my new company car a Born V2 77kW in White. It’s my first EV and after a couple of days so far I’m impressed.

My last car was an Audi A3 40 tfsi-e PHEV, so I’ve dipped my toe in the water so to speak and did enjoy the Audi, although the electric range was max 40 miles but as low as 23 in the winter, which was next to useless, especially after 5 hours charging.

The Born seems huge on the inside compared to the Audi although the footprint doesn’t seem much different.

I’ve done a few hundred miles so far and I’m lucky to have probably had the warmest 2 days of the year but after the first charge at work on 11kw, range from 92% charge showed 326 miles. I live in Hampshire and we are not blessed with many decent EV charging sites, so I’m pleased to be able to charge at work, I’m now trying to get my head around charging whilst away from work.

I’m getting used to the new infotainment and switch gear but so far so good. I particularly like the HUD and I’m not sure how I’ve managed without it for the last 45 years of driving 😂. I’ve used the voice control a few times and so far seems to work well especially for setting the temperature.

I’d appreciate any tips or suggestions in getting to grips with the car

Thanks

You'll enjoy the car - infotainment is a bit pants IMO, Apple CarPlay is your friend (not sure about Android Auto as I've never used it but I imagine its just as good).

You are spot on regarding the infotainment but Apple car play is working fine. And yes I’m really happy with the car so far.
