1701 is 3.5 which is the latest infotainment software version.

No.

I wouldn't be surprised if nobody at all with 3.x gets a major OTA update by the end of this year. And by major, I mean changing the infotainment software version number.

The last week or so the car has started frequently telling me there are updates and do I want to apply them. I have found that pressing ok changes my climate control from cold to high! The weather is really warm in the UK at the moment so I immediately try and turn it back down as quickly as possible. Is my car trying to kill me either with heat, or trying to distract me from the road?!

That's not an update - that's a bug!

Go to your dealer and ask them to apply this update: TPI 2068408

(TPI is VAG lingo for Technical Product Information and refers to equipment modifications, software updates and recalls)

Today i got a cupra email announcing an OTA update but when i obediently go to the car's update screen there's nothing there. This is unsurprising - i don't expect much talent from cupra or the car - and I am new to this, never seen an OTA update. Is there some art to finding the update?
