They're called "puddle" lights for a reason: so you can see if there's a puddle of water or something else you don't want to step in just before getting into the car. No reason not to get them fixed for free under warranty, esp. common flaws like this one are often fixed with updated parts so they don't re-occur.

Broken on mine too recently, just after 18months old. Good to know these have been fixed under warranty. Something to add to the other list of niggles I want addressed when it goes for its first service in a few months.

Good luck! Don't let them fob you off... and don't let them charge you £99 like they tried to do to me due to "damage to the mirrors". 2nd dealership said it was very common and that they are replacing them all the time, and replaced no questions asked.

Ours were replaced under warranty at 2 year service - common issue confirmed by Pulman Sunderland, they keep plenty of stock for anticipated need to replace.

Well, both my puddle lights now have started to go - within a day of each other which I still find weird. Car is 9 months old. The car hadn’t been washed or even got wet recently so it must be a faulty part. I’ll get it fixed next time it’s in which hopefully will be the 2 year service in Dec 2025. Tbh I’d prefer just a circular light to the silly ‘transformers robots in disguise’ logo projection. I’d have loved them when I was 9 but I’m a bit older than that!!

Anyone in Australia had any luck getting them replaced?

I forgot to ask for mine to be looked at during the first service (15,000kms)... Being on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, the thermometer does not threaten 0 degrees at any point in the year, so it's definitely does not originate from cold temperature. While it does get into the 30's for a few months over Christmas, my car resides in a garage at night and underground during the day so has it pretty good.

I'm pretty sure mine were damaged from the car being cleaned with a jet wash, I usually clean it myself by hand but I had it washed as the car wash and I noticed the marks soon after that. Had them replaced now.

I also ended up with a patch of dirt stuck in the seal of one of the headlights.

Back to bucket and sponge for me!
