Is there even a way to turn off ECO assist? I couldn't figure it out from the manual.

I had the opposite problem trying to switch it on 😄 I can't remember where you access it but will look when I'm back in the car.
It's probably not everybody's cup of tea but I like what it adds to the drive and how the car automatically regen brakes approaching roundabouts and junctions etc in D. Cool.

Added menu shots to get to ECO.

Thanks! It’s weird that it’s not in the driver assistance section 🤷‍♀️

Right. The Information description you can bring up is also not what it delivers. Weird

When you mention driving "ALL the time in B," it suggests that you prefer to use the engine braking or regenerative braking mode frequently. The same is true for getting a driver's license michigan fake id because taking official tests and paying a lot of money is not an option for many people. This mode is often used to maximize energy regeneration in hybrid or electric vehicles, especially when driving downhill or decelerating.

It does not suggest that they want to use "engine braking or regen braking" more frequently. It only suggests that they prefer for this to happen when off the pedal, rather than having to use the brake pedal.

I've completely stopped using B mode. I came to the conclusion that it did nothing except make me drive less smoothly than I wanted to. As far as I can tell, you get all the regen you can have by driving in D and braking as you would normally!

When I first test drove an EV, my wife and I both felt a little car sick afterwards (neither of us had had this issue ever with an ICE car) . It was actually an effect of the regenerative braking and I’m delighted that in the Born, driven in D mode we both feel fine, but put it into B mode and a few miles later we’re feeling a little queasy. I think the regenerative braking feels very different to decelerating in a geared ICE car. If you couldn’t turn off the regen to D level, we’d never have bought an EV. Anyone else have the same experience?

B mode feels like driving a petrol car with the handbrake accidentally left on. Does nothing the D mode doesn't do for regen, but as MikeyB says, makes for jerky driving as pressing the brake as much as you need is far more predictable than knowing how much to lift off.
