Would that explain why when it’s very cold outside and I pre warm the cabin for only 2 mins, it’s nice and warm, but if I don’t prewarm and just jump in, it takes 10 mins to get to the same temp as prewarming ? I noticed this recently during the cold spell.

My guess is if you preheat the interior, there's more power available at that moment.

Otherwise when you first get into a non-preheated vehicle, the battery has to heat the interior, the battery, in addition to the motor and all the 52 ECUs.
