Hey, the last month and a half I have been struggling with the capacity of my battery. I have the 77kwh battery in my born. But when I charge my car from 20%-80% it only puts about 16-18kwh of power on the battery, where I would normally be closer to 50kwh.
Also keeping the battery between 80 and 20% I only get about 62km of range.
I tried contacting my dealer about this. But they told me it was just due to the temperature outside, even though it's currently between 3 and 8 degrees celsius outside.
The car is a 2023 model and has 24.000km on it, is this normal? Because I have never had this issue last winter, even though it got alot colder.

Hi - No that's not right at all. You should get at least 200km on 60% of total battery capacity assuming a winter-low efficiency of, say, 4.5km/kwh. I use miles and miles/kwh as I'm in the UK. But my 58kwk Born V2 gets a good 100miles for 60% of my battery even when cold (which here is generally above freezing). I usually get 2.8 or 2.9miles/kwh winter and 3.8-4.5 in the summer. The heat pump in mine uses far less battery than standard air-con. Obviously it varies depending on where you're driving and at what speed. Looks like you have a major battery issue if you're only getting 62km.

Your car/battery is defect, go to the dealer, or find another one.

The worst I can manage driving in -10 deg c on motorway using 60% capacity would be about 160km but typically closer to 200km

Summer local driving 15kw/100km - winter 20-23
Summer Autobahn 20 - winter 25-28

Those numbers are when driving normal, ie not trying to be particularly efficient.

As said this doesn’t sound right. My home charger charges the same % currently in the cold as it does in normal temps. Charged to 80%, showed 270km range (58kw) today and drove about 15km or so with heater etc full blast and used less than 10% and it’s about -4 here.

We have a 77kw Born and at 2 degrees Centigrade and we charged 34 kw on a DC charger no problem.

Thanks you all for the help. I have reached out to the dealership again and they agreed to take. Look at it this time, unfortunately not before 3rd of February though.
