I have a Born V2 and getting a front sensor fault saying “Please clean front sensors” I would expect this if the car was dirty or covered with snow but not when it is spotless. Anyone had the same fault ?

I sometimes get that message, but it normally goes away the same way it came...

Mine did that and I had to have a sensor replaced... stone chip apparently, but they did it under warranty. Bit of a gamble - they may insist on charging you. Mine didn't go away...

Mine is now stuck with this error. I've just logged it with Cupra service. It most certainly has a small chip in it. The car is leased so I have no interest in paying for the replacement, will hope for the best.

Car was due a service so waited until now take it to the dealer. As one of you indicated, they said it was a tiny stone chip and a couple of minute scratches that had damaged the sensor. I couldn't even see anything. Not covered by warranty they say so it’s a £300 repair bill. Must be shocking quality for failing due to something so small.

There are a few Cupra Borns being broken for parts on Ebay.
Just grab one from there.

Or in fact, they appear to be listed for about £34

It is disappointing when a small stone chip can cause such an issue. Maybe Cupra could re-evaluate the sensor quality if even minor imperfections cause failures.

Really? I am an electronics tech and I have never calibrated an ultrasonic sensor.... ever. Must be a lovely little earner that the dealers have come up with.

Even if they did need calibrating, it would be very easy for the system to do it itself at power on.
