Beats Audio issues
The Born is back with the dealer looking at a few issues, probably all software related. One specific problem is that on FM and DAB I'm getting an intermittent fault where I'm getting a bit of sound distortion and a random clicking and popping sound. It happens about 40% of the time. It's not reception or weather related and it doesn't matter whether or not I have my mobile with me in the car. I can use the car and not have a problem then use it again 5 minutes later and the problem is there. I dont have the problem when playing media off a storage drive or with any app through Android Auto. Only FM and DAB. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue with Beats.

Yes, unfortunately this is a known and very annoying problem.
In the German forum there is more information and people who are affected:

But I don't know of a solution yet.

The audio dropouts and stutters affect all of the non-4.0 hardware vehicles on the MEB platform (ID., Enyaq, Born) that are equipped with the premium audio option. It's a ridiculous bug, frankly.
The main difference between the regular sound system and beats is the extra audio processing options and the extra DSP amplifier which is connected via Ethernet. A few people have had their infotainment units replaced but it made no difference at all. There's a small chance that it will be solved with the latest Borns shipped with OS 3.7 or if/when 3.5 OTA is authorized for Cupra.
Last I heard even the Enyaq was going to receive 3.5 OTA, so at this point only Cupra hasn't confirmed it:
