I’ve set up a schedule on my Ohme home pro charger - I’ve also told it I’m on octopus intelligent within the Ohme app - and never touched the car or anything in the Octopus app besides registering the car. Reading other comments I’m scared to touch anything else as for the last 4 months it’s worked pretty flawlessly! It pauses charge with a blue light until 11.30, I have it set to charge to 80% and it always tells me I won’t reach the level of charge I’ve asked for by the end of the schedule, Regardless of whether it’s on 2% or 79% but every morning it’s fully charged. I’ve only ever charged it at home so no doubt I’ll have to fiddle with the app when I eventually charge away from home. Like the infotainment in the car it seems needlessly complex - and like the infotainment I find it best to minimise asking it anything complicated - I’m very much a user of the Ohme app and Apple car play, any app or button Cupra badged I leave well alone!!

I'm on IO with a Podpoint Solo charger and have had a couple issues in past three charges where the limit I set in the Octopus App is exceeded and it goes on to charge to the higher limit set in the car.
I have the car set at 90% and the charger that is controlled by Octopus set to 80%.

So last night I double checked the cars settings, and the car recognised it was connected to the charger, got the normal warning on the Cupra app to say it had failed to charge (this being because IO hadn’t turned the charger on.

Checked Zappi was unlocked, boosted charge at the charger, started to charge, stopped the charge.

Checked IO app, a charging plan will be made shortly after you plug in.😡

Unplugged car, re plugged in, checked charger was unlocked checked IO app, a charging plan will be made shortly after you plug in. 😡

Waited a while and a charging plan was made 😀

Went to bed, but set an alarm for 3 am as I need to use the car today, checked Cupra app, 37%, checked IO app, a charging plan will be made shortly after you plug in 🤬 git up, went out to charger and started it manually, went straight to 11.5kw

I’ve not had this since I switched to IO, but I have had another issue, I pay £35/month and have built up £460+ credit, but since shopping I’ve never had a bill, I’ve called then twice and they have promised to get back to me, guess what they haven’t.

Think they’ll getting a call later, think maybe it’s time to revert to GO, then I can control the charger myself through the Zappi app.

What is it you are paying £35/month for?
I believe you can just turn scheduled charging OFF in the app and then control the charge via your home charger at the IO rate/kW.

I started using IO Go with a Zappi charger around October 2023. I had several problems getting the plan/charging sorted, especially as I had a solar panels/battery setup. It took a few months (basically through to the end of January 2024) to settle on a strategy that worked. One thing to make sure of is that your home charger setup on the car and IOGo is definitely "Home".

My car is set on a routine for "charge immediately", plug in late afternoon, keep track of the Zappi charger and when it starts the charge, use the app to stop it. IOGo sends you a message about the plan and, in my case, it actually starts to charge at the times set.

I get that you're saying it doesn't work that way for you and I don't know why, but if you follow a routine, hopefully IOGo will eventually start working for you the same way it eventually worked for me.

£35 is the monthly electricity bill. We have solar and batteries and an environmentally friendly home.

Can’t find a way to turn scheduled charging off.

Do you have this option in Account Settings for Devices?
I just switch it to off if I want to use the schedule in the Smart Charger.

Well I am looking at going over to Octopus Intelligent imminently due to my high electric bills... I have a 7kw Zappi charger

But I read this and now it fills me with dread that I am going to have all this messing around trying to get it to work..... Cupra App this, Octopus App that, Zappi App this...

WHY can't there just be one App to control it? Even better, no App at all. Not everyone has a smart phone (granted most people do).

Why can't Octopus just set a time window where the rate is cheap and then the user sets his charger to use that window. I can't believe they need to switch the juice on and off during the night due to supply issues or to make use of the lulls in the supply demand. It's just all too complicated for it's own good.

This is one of my main problems with me Born. If there is a failed charge cycle while I am asleep, I am left with a car with limited range and then have to charge at a forecourt somewhere for an hour.
