Re: Front doors - touch unlock not working

Tesla official advice for their earlier model 3's with frozen door handles is to form your hand into a fist and start thumping the door - no joke, google it if you're interested! The novelty of trying to explain to people how to open the flush door handles wears off quickly too. When they don't quit...

Lots of new Cupra Official instruction videos...

Just noticed, about two weeks ago the official channel dumped a load of instructional videos on CUPRA Technology, many are Born focused. https://www.youtube.com/@CUPRAOfficial What you will find is loads of videos about functionality you don't have. Now if this was a Tesla I'd be excited thinking it...

Re: Airbag Warning - after disconnecting the switch...

South Somerset, bit too far. Surely the VW garage won't mind if you have a plausible reason why the warning is on, they'll reset it in seconds?

Re: Slow Charge Mode

Mine runs at about 2kW at slow rate, or about 6mph. So not quite 20 years, but from empty to full about 30 hours. Slower charging does improve battery life, but it's a marginal gain over perhaps a 7kW max home charge rate. If you're not in a rush, it's worthwhile - I use it.

Re: Cold weather=not full power?

The battery will not be able to give full power when cold, and the car will prevent you from attempting this to protect it. After the battery warms it will give you back full power. The car can use about 150kW for full acceleration so while the heater is a large load, moving the thing quickly uses a...

Not quite true. It arrived a day early, reads faults and resets them as part of the 'Free' package. Airbag warning now gone :)

Re: Airbag Warning - after disconnecting the switch...

OBD11 would be quickest and easiest, and you can do a few other tweaks. If you're near North Tyneside, I could do it. I'm just working out the chargestops between South Somerset and you :D Appreciate the offer though, my OBD11 is due here tomorrow but I've a feeling I'm going to have to shell out f...

Re: Full range

Thanks for the feedback 😀 What's your opinion on 100% charge vs the 80% the car tells you..believe its saves the battery life, but does it really I worked in the battery industry for 10+ years. Yes, it definitely prolongs the battery life and if you can do it without inconveniencing yourself absolu...

Airbag Warning - after disconnecting the switch...

I just fitted a dashcam, very carefully done to avoid airbags and the like. Doing it I removed the dashboard side panel passenger side that holds the airbag switch. I removed this and then disconnected the switch (mistake) as it was a very short lead. Finished the install, everything tidy. When I th...

Re: 19" Typhoon Copper Upgrade!!!

I like them just for a bit of extra protection, although doubt they are tough enough to cope with my missus parallel parking.
