Re: Typhoon alloy copper stickers
Also had an idea for a phone holder for the back of the centre console so the kids can watch their phones.

Re: Typhoon alloy copper stickers
Why not go old tech and use a brass-rubbing technique. Since all the sections of the wheel are identical, sellotape a piece of paper over one section of the silver shape and use crayon or a soft pencil to shade over the area you want, cut a sample to test it and then create multiple shapes from tha...

Re: Typhoon alloy copper stickers
I think you need to get the copper colour vinyl spot on too for factory look, it has lacquer finish, I got some mat copped and ended up removing it as it didn’t look right. I was going to try to get something to match the copper of the badges and front bumper detail, which looks matt/hammered effec...

Re: Typhoon alloy copper stickers
I can take pictures myself, but was wondering if anyone had come across an image online showing them from exactly face on. All of the pictures on the cupra site are from a slight angle, and taking a photo odds are they wouldn't be exactly straight on, which would slightly change the curves and angle...

Typhoon alloy copper stickers
I'm thinking about having a go at making up some copper stickers to go over the silver parts on my Typhoon alloys. I've got access to a vinyl cutter and the software, but trying to save some of my time measuring, drawing, cutting and test fitting, by getting a decent straight on image of the alloys....

Re: Auto wipers not working
20220914_165311.jpg Pretty sure it's the gel, having had a look. Phoned to book it in with the garage, but they won't do it on a Saturday, which means I'd need a courtesy car as its 45 minutes away, and I'm not paying £20 for the privilege of them fixing a fault on a 6 week old car! Going to get in...

Good shout, I'll have a look, however, it doesn't sound like anythings loosemonkeyhanger wrote: ↑Tue Sep 13, 2022 7:51 pm Is the thin sheet metal brake disc guard loose behind the discs?

Re: Auto wipers not working
Do you have the sensitivity turned right down via the 5 position switch on the wiper stalk? 1 from most sensitive usually does me. It's not that it doesn't wipe, it wipes too much. So when I have it on the intermittent wiper setting and it has the auto wipers on in the infotainment settings, it wil...

Strange noise when driving
Okay, I've tried to ignore this, or hoped it was a 'new car running in' thing, but had the car for coming up 2 months at the end of the month and it isn't going away. As with anything 'strange noise in cars' it's a bit hard to describe, but I'll try. For background, my iD.3, which I had for nearly a...

Re: Auto wipers not working
Maybe worth checking sensor in upper windscreen just under camera as it has a gel bonding rain sensor to windscreen that can be a problem. Thanks, yeah, I had heard that can be an issue, but just wondering if there could be anything else, as its a right faff getting to the garage to get it checked ...
