Mine never went off, for some reason the power stayed live. I ran it to the fusebox in the end.

looks like VW diasbled this from the menu screen with the EVs. You can do it via OBD11 but not sure if you will get an extra slider on the Menu to reactivate.

Depending where you are in the country, these guys are really good with decent pricing. They are not mobile, so have a proper workshop with the proper gear. I was surprised how big it was! These guys have been around for over 20yrs.

And if I am not the primary user, what functionality do I have?

I done a 20ish mile journey into central London today taking around 60mins and the same journey back taking around 75mins. Neither trip showed full blue bar for me.
