Re: No jack with the Born as standard?
Those are self sealing Conti Ecocontact 6, they have a gel across the inside of the tread, although in my experience, it didn't work too well when I had a puncture in the tread. There is no coverage at all for punctures on shoulder or sidewall, so get a puncture there and you are calling out the AA....

Re: Best Winter Advice
It’s an interesting one and as ever I feel biggest influence on range is driving style. Anticipation and keeping it flowing. That said clearly cold weather and short journeys reduce the efficiency. In the recent cold snaps on 5mile journeys with heat to 19degC 2.0miles kWh. Extend that and just get...

Sounds like you've done all you can.michbright wrote: ↑Thu Jan 25, 2024 2:42 pm Varta, as recommended, tried the steps in the manual and still not working, but did manage to set the alarm off!
I phoned Cupra and they've said it needs to go in for diagnostics, so Roadside Assistance is coming to assess and then recover to dealer.

Re: Best Winter Advice
I've done long range Winter driving and have experimented with using blown heat,, heated steering wheel and heated seat only, and using recirculated aircon to keep the screen clear, the battery heating always takes its toll. At a constant 72mph indicated, at least 100 miles done, I get:- 0C, 16C ca...

Re: Key not detected
Thanks for all your replies. Batteries replaced in both keys but they're still not working... how do I reprogramme them? Thanks. What brand? As I said, they're brand fussy VAG recommend Varta, I have known ever ready and duracell NOT to work. I can't remember if there's anything special to do after...

Re: 18" vs. 19" rims - real life difference
I can compare my old ID3 (essentially the same car with cosmetic differences) on 18" wheels to our Born on 19" wheels. The Born rides better - I think that's more to do with tyre brand than wheel size. 18" ID3/Born come on Bridgestone tyres more often than not. They are horrendously h...

Re: Key not detected
How long have you had the car? If it's over 15 months you might need to change the batteries. For some reason on the newer VAG keys, you seem to need to change both at once. They are brand fussy on the batteries too, so I would buy "Varta" branded ones to be sure. First I would try locking...

Re: Passenger heating not working
Sounds like a fault, considering the car recognises that you have a passenger.

Re: Open window alert on Cupra born app
The My Audi app always states my back passenger window is open when it's not (probably same software). I might go do an OBD11 fault clear on the car to see if there's a historic false report from the door controller to clear.
