Re: HV Battery Protection on or off???

It seems badly explained but here's what I understand it to say: With "Use HV Battery" off, the car will go to sleep as much as possible to save power as the capacity of the 12V battery isn't infinite, and staying connected all the time would drain power too quickly. The HV battery will re...

Re: Intelligent Octopus and Cupra

This is good to know as I've just switched to Intelligent Octopus too. Can you also just press "stop charge" in the e-manager section of the infotainment screen and have it all still work?

Re: Window demisting ?

I believe that is the case, you could always turn the temperature down to 16 or so to save energy on heating

Re: Disappointing charging rate

I charged from 20% last weekend when it was 10C at a Tesla Supercharger and the car peaked at 88kW IIRC, this was after 1.5 hours or so of driving. I also charged at a Gridserve 50kW charger more recently and pulled the maximum 50kW.

Re: Key batteries

Had mine since July using one key only, so far no issues. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it depends on how much you move around during the day with your keys. The keys are supposed to go to sleep after 5m idle or so right? So if you're moving constantly one would assume the keys use more batter...

Re: Honest opinions on commuting please

I have charged my car to 80% on a cold Summer's morning and seen the rate of charge increase to 82% just sat on my drive as the sun came up to warm things through. This is a whole other discussion, as measuring the state of charge of a lithium ion battery is actually an incredibly difficult thing t...

Re: Honest opinions on commuting please

Lithium Ion batteries wear more quickly at high and low states of charge. Keeping SoC between 20% and 80% most of the time will make the battery last longer. You will see the UI of the car does try discourage you from charging past 80% unless you definitely need it, and when you do, the recommendati...

Re: Honest opinions on commuting please

I drive 200 miles to work at 70mph (more like 10mph on the M25 though ). On the 100 mile trip there I leave at 60% and arrive anywhere between 5% and 15% depending on the weather. Generally the colder and windier the worse it is. In the recent cold snap the 100 mile journey back did take me fro...

Re: Fault in the electric drive system

I have this pop up about once per month in some form or another, either yellow or red fault with the electric drive system, only ever when turning the car on. Today I also had it pop up with 12V battery fault. Every single time I have turned the car off and on again and the warnings have immediately...
