Re: New car, what network cards/apps

I also use the Bonnet app. Covers a number of networks and is very easy to use. Charges a set rate depending on whether you use pay as you go or a pre paid monthly package; ie. Pay as you go is 0.50 per kWh vs the normal rate of 0.69 per kWh at Ionity. chargers. Works well across the fast charger ne...

Re: EV Home Charging costs vs Petrol Costs!!!

It’s an interesting discussion. I got lucky with an impulse decision to buy the Born from stock with only a quick check on financials to make sure the sums worked. They did, and still do - but only thanks to locking in to the EDF go electric tariff immediately on purchase. I say lucky because it was...

Looks great. Could you post a link to the parts? Also, how was the coding achieved?
Thanks, great job.

Re: Hi from Suffolk

I primarily use Bonnet EV. It covers lots of networks including Ionity and GeniePoint, and plenty of others. At Ionity it reduces the charge from £0.69 per kWh to £0.50 per kWh if you pay as you go through the app, or £0.45 or less if you go for a pre paid package. The £0.50 or less rate applies at ...

Re: Puncture - Anyone know if Repairable?

Looks too close top the sidewall to be safely fixable to me. With a 215 tyre you’ve got 153mm in total, aligned to the centre line of the tyre to play with for a fix. That looks too far out in the pic. My understanding is that self sealing tyres only provide a temporary get me home type solution, no...

Re: B or D?

D most of the time unless I’m going down a hill and want the additional braking effect. Not convinced there’s significant benefit to be had from staying in B normally and I prefer the more normal driving experience of D. May experiment a bit more if there is proof of benefit though.

Re: Awaiting delivery due to fault

Sorry, but that sounds like dealer speak for ‘it got damaged in transit and is in the body shop getting resprayed, but we don’t want to tell you that’. Wouldn't be the first. I would get over there and get eyes on if the dealer is local.

Re: Beats Audio

Have anyone heard the Beats Sound System yet? I have not and forgive me if I miss the reason for your post but…. I was not aware of the lack of rear speakers before purchase but my kids are making me very aware now. If for no other reason than that I would definitely specify the Beats system if I w...
