I don't notice any reflections at all on my HUD-less born.
fwiw there were 2 reasons I didn't order the HUD:
- my eyes were having distracting microfocus issues between focusing on the HUD text/info and the view of the street.
- the actual HUD enclosure was reflecting in the windshield

Re: Software Version
As of today in Germany (where the largest number of Borns are located), all owners of Borns with software below 3.0, namely 2.3 / 2.4, can request an appointment at their dealer to update the software to 3.x. This includes replacing the 12V battery whose capacity/BMS weren't suitable to the massive...

Re: New OTA update
VCDS and maybe Car Scanner via a decent OBDII interface will easily read out all the software versions of all the subsystems. As far as what's been reported, the current MEB vehicles will never receive 4.0. Only vehicles with the forthcoming new ICAS3 infotainment unit like the ID.7, ID.2 and next y...

Re: New OTA update
Interesting. Let's see. But as an IT specialist, I do not really understand that "This update does not increase the software version"...but...anyway. Maybe kind of a patch, that just changes the build number. For Cupra, the overarching software versions have so far been 2.4, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2...

Re: New OTA update
This little recent update is very minimal and probably in preparation of upcoming larger OTA updates. A larger OTA update (for 3.X only) that among other things improves motor efficiency and affects the drivetrain / throttle response is starting to be rolled out in Germany. It takes about an hour fo...

Re: Opinion of Beats audio?
Elea4, what settings have you found generally get the best out of the Beats system? Try this out to and let me know what you think: "Immersive" mode with the surround slider all the way to the right EQ Sub +6 125 Hz +3 250 Hz 0 1 kHz 0 5 kHz 0 10kHz 0 Some music will overload the sub at t...

Re: No jack with the Born as standard?
In a pinch you could use a 2t toe jack. Doesn't weigh much, doesn't take up a lot of space. But make sure to use one that has a wide rubber puck that can be mounted on top.

Re: No jack with the Born as standard?
Does "jack" mean something different in Australia? Here we're talking about the mechanical device that lifts the vehicle to change the wheels, but you seem to be talking about a spare wheel which might limit maximum speeds - clearly a jack wouldn't limit your Vmax.

Re: No jack with the Born as standard?
In Germany at least, neither the stock 18" summer tires nor the optional 18" rims with winter tires were run flat. The upside is that these vehicles (such as mine) shipped with the optional 12V tire pump and a can of tire repair goo.

Re: Opinion of Beats audio?
Speaking as a professional audio engineer, Beats is acceptable... not amazing. I find I have to futz around with the various settings to get it sounding good and that can vary based on the source material. I will say that it's an especially good value compared to buying rear speakers, a wiring harne...
