Re: My Cupra App not working tonight
So the back end appears to be offline yet again. Is anyone else getting “Connection error” and an “amusing” cartoon of a UFO knocking over a transmitter tower?

Re: My Cupra app
Yes! I had the same issues last night (12 July 2023). I have come to not trust the My Cupra App to ensure that the car charges with Intelligent Octopus, as was the case last night. I have started to check before going to sleep that the interface is working correctly. In order for the Intelligent Oct...

Re: My Cupra App not working tonight
Yes. I noticed the app was not functioning correctly last evening too (12 July 2023). I’m also with intelligent octopus and the car started charging at 1750 when I plugged it in and didn’t stop (and would not have stopped until it hit its own charge limit of 100%) until I pressed stop charging in th...

Re: My Cupra app
And as of 0932 the app is back up. Again confirming that it failed at their end. So that is twice in one week, that last time was 29 June (the day 1.9.0 was released for iOS).

Re: My Cupra app
I have raised a complaint with Cupra. I have explained that these outages are not acceptable especially in the upcoming world of Demand Side Response (of which intelligent Octopus is an example) where grid demand is controlled by the energy suppliers. The only way they can do this with EVs is to sen...

Re: My Cupra app
Thank you daern that is great to know that someone who can look at it properly can see. Cupra support are assuming that I am a newbie and are suggesting reboots and factory resets without having checked their end first.

Re: My Cupra app
IMG_1590.png It is 5th July and the app appears to be failed again. On opening this morning it didn’t get past the loading screen, so shut down and reopen. It asked for login details (which is unusual- and an indication of problems). Once it opened it was clear there is no connection to the car (sc...

Re: App not working with eManager
It is very frustrating when it goes wrong (which seems to be frequently). Customer support have responded to my ticket saying that the technical team "did some troubleshooting". In my case the app started working again at about 11:50BST the same day. The conclusion was that they had fixed ...

App not working with eManager
Is anyone else experiencing problems with the app today when trying to use it to control the eManager? I checked the car this morning to see that it had been charged using the Intelligent Octopus system. It hadn’t. On further investigation I found that the app was not communicating with the eManager...

Re: Intelligent Octopus and Cupra
I can confirm that pressing the “Stop Charge” button on the infotainment system successfully stops the charge immediately after plugging in and causes no problems with the Intelligent Octopus smart charging. This is a real winner as it will save approximately £210 per year in peak rate charging wait...
