Re: A/C impact

Im not sure if I've got a fault then as from 80% it should be getting roughly 170 miles.. I'm only just managing 140 if I have A/C switched on.. though I have been doing some small trips (less than 2 miles) which I have been told is not good for an EV as it doesn't warm the battery, I noticed today...

Re: What next? Tyre!

\i've already done in a tyre at 2000 miles too - first in 6 years - part of a screw in the shoulder of the tyre. rapid deflation once I removed it. The look of the flat tyre and the frequency of flats reported for 19"/20" wheels for ID3/ID4/Born makes me think these tyres are seriously th...

Re: Born v2 58kWh ordered in March...still waiting..changing my mind?

If you want the car, you made quite a saving. If you can charge at home on a cheap overnight tariff like Octopus Go, you'll be saving 85% of your current diesel bill. If you are reliant on rapid chargers, I'd be tempted to keep the diesel at current electricity rates. I bought outright too, with the...

I bet the fastest vehicle on that list was the Ford Transit van, judging by the DPD delivery I had yesterday!

Re: A/C impact

There's a way to reduce the AC impact a lot - use the recirculation button with AC - that way you're not dumping freshly cooled air as soon as you've made it. With AC on, you could see as much as 0.5 miles per kWh wiped off your efficiency when on the move. Recirculate and it could be a quarter of t...

Re: Winter wheels..?

You can fit winter wheels if you want, at least 18" 112mm PCD and you need enough offset to get over the front calipers (probably somewhere around 52mm. \you'll just need to reset the TPMS after fitment, through the "Car" menus. Depends where you are as to whether you'd even bother. Y...

Re: Born and Id3 on order- which to keep?

If the used prices hold due to lack of supply, along with the price rise you are likely to turn a profit on an ID3 if you stick it on Motorway not so clear cut as you only had a £500 discount, but either way, that dealer could sell it in days and should definitely not keep your deposit if you decide...

Re: 3 days in an infotainment system frozen

Press and hold the power button until it resets - I think about a 20 second press will do it.
