Re: Sound system

As someone who's never really gone "aftermarket" on car audio, I find the standard set up adequate, for the front seats at least. I'll never sit in the back. As EVs are noticeably quieter than most ICE cars, there's a real opportunity to have your tunes with much less background noise, to ...

Re: Can I Demist windscreen without A/C?

The quickest way is to use AC. You have water vapour inside the car condensing on the coldest part of the interior - either you dry out the air with AC or you warm the windscreen so it evaporates again (slower than AC, uses more energy). As Nacaduct says, we are all efficiency obsessed, even though ...

Re: Auto wipers not working

Do you have the sensitivity turned right down via the 5 position switch on the wiper stalk? 1 from most sensitive usually does me.

Re: Tyre wear Information

They seem prone to punctures and are very thin as tyres go - you may not have the opportunity to wear them out before replacing them. There's pretty much no one that has had their Born in the UK before June, so not much opportunity to rack up the miles. Cheapest fitted Conti6 19" tyre I found w...

Re: Dashcam fitting

What dashcam have you got? Does it come with a plug and a hardwire kit? Does it have a parking monitoring mode, to need a switched live and a permanent live?

Re: Wireless phone charging.

It's really not very efficient and makes the phone quite hot in charging - far better to plug in, if you got a cable. Maybe the S20+ being a little bigger than most has less "shuffle room" in the tray than my S22.

I'm presuming you'll have to unregister completely and lose the app - i'm seriously considering this myself.

Re: A/C impact

Im not sure if I've got a fault then as from 80% it should be getting roughly 170 miles.. I'm only just managing 140 if I have A/C switched on.. though I have been doing some small trips (less than 2 miles) which I have been told is not good for an EV as it doesn't warm the battery, I noticed today...
