Re: Intelligent Octopus schedule charging not working!!

Mine is working fine via PodPoint and Intelligent Octopus via the App ok. UniqueUser1 workaround looks to use the charger as a dumb charger and control the charge via the car SW. Any electricity you use between 1130 and 0530 will be at the cheaper rate. We are running all appliances in our laundry r...

Re: Best Winter Advice

Think we have debated this before. I find recirc just allows more and more moisture to sit in the air and the condensation is worse not better unless you also put AC (refrige) on to dry it out. The other thing I notice with mine is zero or no battery heating going on. ZeroC day last week 30 mile ru...

Re: Best Winter Advice

I've done long range Winter driving and have experimented with using blown heat,, heated steering wheel and heated seat only, and using recirculated aircon to keep the screen clear, the battery heating always takes its toll. At a constant 72mph indicated, at least 100 miles done, I get:- 0C, 16C ca...

Re: Best Winter Advice

This will probably sound a bit off the wall but I rarely use the heating at all. When I researched EVs with my first ID3 I decided that I would just wear a coat and expect the cabin to be cooler. Even last week on zero degree days my heating was off most of the time but the cabin temperature was pr...

Re: App failure - service management glitch

Mine did the same as Phope before the weekend and my fix was the same. Toggled data privacy on/off/on and things were OK. Used to do this a lot but first time since the SW update.

Re: Separate heated seat pads

I feel that pulling power from a USC connector to support the load of a seat heater pad sounds a bit of a stretch. Maybe from a 12v socket outlet but not ports intended for ordinary low power tech. It's purely a guess but would have thought a seat heater has to be around 50 Watts. Thats around 4 Amp...

Re: Preparing for delivery of Born

Just a note for a different opinion on the granny. I got my one with my first ID3 and had to wait almost a year before I was able to get a home charger because of building work requirements. The granny provided all home charging in that period. I used it twice on vacation on the Isle of Wight when s...

Re: Test Drive Smart #1 and MG4

I'll be changing my Born hopefully late Spring and have two more test drives planned which will be the new Mini EV Cooper S in March and if Ford get their finger out a Puma EV or Explorer EV. Make sure to wait until the Born gets a refresh which will bring the ICAS3 with software version 4. Take a ...
