Re: Tyre wear
Got about 11k miles out of the rears of the wife's Born (Continental EcoContact 6) when one got an unrepairable puncture. Down to 2.5mm we got a pair of Michelin Primacy EV tyres on. The Michelins seem a lot thicker than the Contis (which are shockingly thin - surprised I haven't had more than 2 pun...

Re: Transport Blocks
That's a really poor effort from the stealers, they should have been falling over themselves to apologize and make good. 400 miles with them installed could have caused damage, I suggest you keep all evidence of what happened just in case. I take it the ride was notably different? Perhaps not, if j...

Re: Security and Tracker
No need for a Faraday bag - codes change following every use of the key and the keys don't transmit when still. You can't intercept the signal with a scanner and reuse that code later.

Re: Nextbase dashcam install
There aren't many ignitionswitched fuses, and those that are don't go off immediately with ignition off, they go off a short while later. That bright yellow vertically oriented 30A fuse towards the bottom is the 12v power supply. You could tap into that, but you'd need a fuse tap for a full size fus...

Re: View Battery Degradation?
Does anyone know how to view the battery degradation on our Cupra Borns? I have the Tronity app which says the battery is 45 kWh, and the variant is the 110 kW - 55 kWh version. Does this mean my battery has lost 10 kWh from the original capacity? No, it means that you have a 55kWh battery but only...

Re: Battery Issues?
Winter range is really poor, especially for a series of really short journeys. If its under 3C, the 2 mile return trip for the school run is around 2 miles per kWh. Cabin and cabin heating draws as much power as driving it. 70-73mph on the motorway at 0-3C for a lingish journey and you'll get 2.9 mi...

Re: B or D?
B mode feels like driving a petrol car with the handbrake accidentally left on. Does nothing the D mode doesn't do for regen, but as MikeyB says, makes for jerky driving as pressing the brake as much as you need is far more predictable than knowing how much to lift off.

Re: Lane Assist - remembering the previous setting!
It's a poorly executed solution to a problem no one paying attention at the wheel should have. It's only purpose seems to be mitigating those that lane wander because they're on their mobile phone or applying make-up while driving. It takes no account of obstacles in your lane and blindly tries to k...

Re: Dashcam Question(s)
It's a 1.5 hour DIY job if you know what you're doing. Fuse box is easy to tap into. I put a ThinkwareF770 front/back into our Born. I think there's a guide on here somewhere that I contributed to.

Re: Range issues during cold snap
How high is "HI"? I'm presuming somewhere around 27C? 18 or 19C is plenty unless you're taking a sickly reptile to the vets! The demand from the cabin heater alone will be well in excess of what's needed to turn the wheels.
