Re: Future Born Owner, Opinions and advise

I've had mine 18 months and the touch screen is still just infuriating: I came from a BMW 118 which had a joystick to control similar screen functions, which was far better and safer at speed. I have deleted a detailed rant (phew) but this kind of control issue is my reason for saying - wait 3 or 4 ...

Re: My Cupra app

It might be just the latency on the server updates (ie wait a day or 2). I assume you've linked the phone itself to the infotainment system (paired it in Bluetooth in the car) so you know that's all working ok? On the VIN: when I go to GARAGE in the app (at the top left of the first screen, the car ...

Re: Software Version

I just had the (same?) 4 recalls in Twickenham and it took 1.5 days. Tyres, battery, bonnet, software upgrade. It's now as good as new (ie not very good)

Re: Charge at Preferred Times Failure

Yes I've experienced it, today. I tried to use the app at first but changed my mind and set it to Preferred Time in the car, as usual. I then found it had immediately charged 30 per cent so i went to the car and reset it there. I suspect the app settings (which i hadn't checked) had countermanded th...

Re: Quick hello from UK - Born V2 - first month

14 months and 14000 miles after buying it, i have learned to live with the worst issues (like lane assist), avoid the flashy but gritty things which increase my disappointment (like voice control) and forget any prospect of a software update which might fix any of them. Then i don't fret. Much.

Re: My cupra app in Oz

Off peak charging doesn't need the app.i only use the app to check that i probably set the charge routine up correctly on the e-manager. And i never believe what the app says.

Re: My Cupra App has NEVER worked - UK

When you say it doesn't work...how far have you got? Installed on phone but not connected? Set up user and password on phone? I had a grim time working out that the car drops the connection when you get out to note down the VIN from outside...etc etc. It ain't simple. Bear in mind tgst it isn't that...

Re: Best Winter Advice

I agree with most of that but the real world behaviour of an ev is only clear when you have one. I always advise people to wait 3 or 4 years before thinking of buying. Given the pace of fixes to the car and app software, 5 years might be wise.

Re: Cupra Wall Charger (Elli) stops Charging randomly

Mine is an Ohme charger so no direct experience but I elected to use it as a dumb charger, not use the wallbox controls or Ohme app - so if i plug it in, it charges immediately- and to use the car's e-manager (not the cupra app) to control the whole charging process. Too many different flaky systems...

Re: Best Winter Advice

I should have added: i set the cabin to 18.5c and it was ok. At one point i lost patience and set 20c but it immediately triggered an additional charging stop so i went back to 18.5c. In sum: if you need more than 150 miles in winter even with 100% at the start, your best option is to plan a chargin...
