Re: Heated Steering Wheel
I think I've found a pretty consistent bug in the Born OS, where setting it to automatically come on, even if you set it to Low, means it comes on full bore burn-your-hands intensity. Whereas if you just turn it on manually it's more gentle at Low. So I don't do it automatically.

Re: Range issues during cold snap
I think my yearly avg of around 3.8 mi/kWh looks like it's 3.5/3.6 in winter versus 4/4.1 in summer, not halving. Slight overestimate here (but then I'm not usually on the motorway for my commute.) 40 miles of mostly 70mph motorways today, between -0.5C and 1C and I got 3.2 mi/kWh with AC off and h...

Re: Range issues during cold snap
Yeah, the range indicator in the app is essentially pointless.
Performance is worse in the properly cold weather, but not to that extent. I think my yearly avg of around 3.8 mi/kWh looks like it's 3.5/3.6 in winter versus 4/4.1 in summer, not halving.

Re: Would you have another Born?
I've had mine for a year (~7500 miles) and overall, I really like it. It's on a lease scheme, I absolutely plan to get another one at the end of it, hopefully a 2.0 version with some of the kinks ironed out! What's been surprising also is that my wife actively loves it also - that's been a real posi...

Re: Software Version
Is there any way from differences in 3.2.1 to tell that you're on it without relying on a crazy software labelling system that doesn't differentiate in the version screens? Mine went in yesterday for its upgrade and its come back basically all the same as it went in: Hardware: H30 Software: 0561 Dis...

Please let us know how it goes, those early pioneers! I need to find a place near me that'll do it.

Re: Wireless phone charging.
I have the wireless charger. It's far too fussy about the position of the phone and so on, I can't get it to work with my Pixel 7, it's pointless.

Re: Looking forward to the Tavascan
It does look nice (even if I'm not likely to go for an SUV any time soon.)
It got me thinking about whether there's likely to be version 2 of the Born that might also take advantage of these improvements in VW's tech. Does anyone know if that's likely?

Re: Cupra Born Pet Hates
I think the only bit about the Born that I'm still finding annoying is the way that the supposed "learning" functions keep changing my settings. I don't want the heated steering wheel coming on automatically when it's cold. I do want the mirrors to dip when I put it into reverse. And so on...
