Re: No jack with the Born as standard?

No jack or spare with my car but I did get a can of foam! I had my car paintwork and interior pre-treated as an optional extra (which I got them to throw into the negotiated price) and this came with a bag of car wash, wheel cleaner, glass cleaner, bird pooh remover etc and ... a can of tyre foam! D...

Re: No jack with the Born as standard?

Funny reading that Cupra in Australia know nothing of the tyre recall. I live in the UK and purchased my Born here. I read on this site that there were Born recalls but that Cupra are waiting for the next service to implement the recall. I checked the UK Govt site which should list all manufacture r...

Re: No jack with the Born as standard?

CUPRA will actually sell you an official Born jack as an accessory off their website in UK for about £37 although people doubt that it will last long if you read earlier posts. Some websites that sell a spare wheel also sell a pack including wheel and jack etc for those of us who don’t like sitting ...

Re: No jack with the Born as standard?

I had a Mini Cooper S with run-flats (I paid extra for them when I bought it new) and those tyres had RUN FLAT TYRES written on the side walls so it was obvious. My Born tyres definitely do not have this text, and I cannot read anything about the type of tyres in the online documentation. They also ...

Re: No heating and "Electric drive not working correctly. Please visit workshop" warning

CUPRA Reading diagnosed the problem day one (Friday) part arrived and was fitted for next working day (Monday). Mind you CUPRA did want the loan car back URGENTLY over the weekend! Expected me to drive their car back to them, drive my car with no heating home and during the weekend before returning ...

Re: No jack with the Born as standard?

Well that repair fluid is all but useless, so popping off a wheel to nip down to your favourite low priced tyre shop (for a repair or replacement) is much better than waiting for an expensive call out with high priced tyres (even if you have to make two trips to replace both tyres on the same axle)....

No jack with the Born as standard?

I have had my car a few months now but have only just discovered that there is no jack present! Has my car just missed out on this standard fitting in all cars or is this another money saving step from CUPRA? I have just noticed this is a standard item in the CUPRA Accessories list for a bargain £37...

Re: No heating and "Electric drive not working correctly. Please visit workshop" warning

I had exactly the same problem last autumn. Got into the car, put the demister to clear the screen during a heavy rainstorm and immediately got the drive fault. I submitted something on the Forum last year and got the same feedback that it often goes away, especially after a reset. Mine did not and ...

Re: Fault in the electric drive system

OK so I took my Born into the garage on the 8th to have the fault fixed by CUPRA. Eventually got a lone car and setting out at 07:00 in this cold snap made me realise I need more than a heated seat and steering wheel to keep the screen clear! Unfortunately it would appear the Electric Drive fault wa...
