Re: Massive battery recall check - TPI 93Q2

I still haven't got around to getting mine tested. How long does the battery check take, is it a while you wait affair or will I need a courtesy car? *****UPDATE**** Just to update my own post, called Citygate and managed to book it into Watford branch, 4th March 2024. with a free courtesy car as it...

Re: Would you have another Born?

I have to say that, love the styling and practicality of the Born, we would not get another. Feels like we have been Guinea Pigs owners of a product that had many issues. Now its the battery recall.... I wanted a Q4 but the Mrs didn't want something as big. I wonder if the Q4 has the same amount of ...

Re: Massive battery recall check - TPI 93Q2

It's good I found this..... It's my wifes car so I rarely drive it. If I remember correctly, when I charged to 80% it used to show 204miles range. Today its showing 154miles. Whether this is due to faulty battery or a change in software (over the air) making the mileage estimate more 'real life' I'm...

Re: Order Lead Times

It appears 160 Cupra Borns have been recalled. These are all undelivered cars. They all have a steering column fault. Our dealer SMC Woking will offer us a loan car to enable us to trade in our ICE car. No idea when the steering column fault will be fixed. Count yourself lucky. I had a nightmare wi...

Re: Order Lead Times

We've been told a whole batch of undelivered Borns have a steering column fault so our car is being recovered from Emden and a new Born will be manufactured to the original specification. So massive delay now. No time frame offerd. Wonder if this is the same issue as mine. October 2022 delivery dat...

Re: Heko wind deflectors

Wind deflectors actually add wind noise. Cars are so aerodynamic nowadays, any addition to the exterior I find adds wind noise.

Re: OBD11 dongle recommendation

For the price you can't get better than OBD11. Had mine since 2020 when I discovered my old VCDS would longer work with the new chassis VW cars. I had the VCDS for over 10yrs and at the time it cost £285. So £100 odd for the a OBD11 pro license is a bargain. Having used it on 3 cars so far, it's mor...

Re: Connect plus pending

I filled in the details for mine. I checked again after a couple of days and said it was installed. Not sure how long it took exactly as I didn't check before 48hrs.

Off topic but does anyone know what it adds?

Re: Born Again

That's a good result! Usually VW group would just refund you for the lack of option.

Re: New Born Arriving Early March; Some Trepidation...

If your born doesn't have anything in the boot for puncture repair, then your Born will be fitted with self seal tyres. These tyres will automatically plug any holes that would be normally repaired with the 'snot'. So if the seal seal cannot seal the hole automatically, the hole would be too big for...
