Re: Heko wind deflectors
Wind deflectors actually add wind noise. Cars are so aerodynamic nowadays, any addition to the exterior I find adds wind noise.

Re: OBD11 dongle recommendation
For the price you can't get better than OBD11. Had mine since 2020 when I discovered my old VCDS would longer work with the new chassis VW cars. I had the VCDS for over 10yrs and at the time it cost £285. So £100 odd for the a OBD11 pro license is a bargain. Having used it on 3 cars so far, it's mor...

Re: Connect plus pending
I filled in the details for mine. I checked again after a couple of days and said it was installed. Not sure how long it took exactly as I didn't check before 48hrs.
Off topic but does anyone know what it adds?

Re: Born Again
That's a good result! Usually VW group would just refund you for the lack of option.

Re: New Born Arriving Early March; Some Trepidation...
If your born doesn't have anything in the boot for puncture repair, then your Born will be fitted with self seal tyres. These tyres will automatically plug any holes that would be normally repaired with the 'snot'. So if the seal seal cannot seal the hole automatically, the hole would be too big for...

Re: Touchscreen updates
Originally I thought it was the front wheels losing traction but after experiencing it more, it's definitely more a mechanical issue than friction. I'll wait for the TPI resolution. Mine is going into a 'friendly' dealer in April to sort out the rear cam. The supplying dealer looked at it 1st and fo...

7. There is an unpleasant steering judder that needs checking please Ask your dealer about the new TPI 2069354/1. It's a software problem whereby the software controlling the steering servo within a specific range of larger steering angles starts to ripple unintentionally - which causes steering wh...

5. Wireless Charging Pad doesn’t work (this is part of an expensive option pack Tech L fwiw the part is pretty common across the entire VW group: 5NA980611 This unit also couples the mobile phone to a secondary signal booster which is routed to the external antenna. I know this was discussed a lot ...

Re: Occasional rattle sound
Car noises can be a nightmare. On one of my previous cars, a rattle could be heard dead centre of the dash. As it was a new model, they were still trying to figure it out. Many other owners had dashboard out, this and that and still no solution. Luckily for me, by the time I booked mine in, the culp...

Re: Touchscreen updates
I have to concur that the issues we have with the Born are not EV issues but more VW issues with lack of development before general release. It's not surprising why the other newcomers like the Koreans are doing so well. At least everything works like it should. If I knew the Born had so many issues...
