Re: Opinions on pre-purchase protective treatments.

All of them are a complete waste of money. They only work if you retreat them with special products and add absolutely no value whatsoever to the resale value. I’ve had 7 cars from new and nobody has ever asked me if they were treated or added any more for trade in if they were. They are basically a...

Unless they can’t make new ones on the production line then they really don’t have an excuse.

Re: Test Drive Smart #1 and MG4

The MG4 doesn’t seem to fair too badly, I did have a look first. I guess it’s a bit like, Dacia in that is so low priced it not got as far to fall. The one I’m getting is cheaper than a base spec automatic Golf. If it does fall like a rock I can hand it back or as it’s got a long warranty, pay it o...

Re: Preparing for delivery of Born

I traded my Born in yesterday 🙁 (I got a lemon as far as I’m concerned so will refrain from slagging the Born off) but the car I bought comes with a granny cable but not a type 2. I expected the opposite so nabbed my type 2 just before handing the car over and have a spare granny cable! To be honest...

Re: Test Drive Smart #1 and MG4

Funnily enough I’ve given up on my Born as Heritage Gloucester is beyond hopeless and I’m fed up taking it back for faults that don’t get fixed and or waiting months for parts. I have just lost faith in the car and don’t want it when the warranty runs out even though I’d planned to keep it. Not that...

Re: Water in the boot!

Mine was finally done today. Apparently it was a manufacturing defect in the boot handle seal and the handle was replaced. Well my tailgate is still filling with rain water even after a temporary fix until the parts arrive on back order. Interesting that your garage found it was the boot handle sea...

Re: Security and Tracker

Reviving this thread to see if anyone has heard of Cupra Birn thefts as I've see ID3s appear on list of EV theft league table. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/motoring/motoring-news/figures-reveal-most-stolen-electric-27786973 I’ve seen that list before and not sure how they can even qualify it ...

Re: 12v battery whilst away for 9 weeks

Timely post! I will be away for 7/8days parking at airport. Assuming I still have around 70-80% in battery this should be ok till I return? You not need to worry about that at all. Just remember to turn off any scheduled air conditioning. I left my car 2 weeks on a cruise and everything was fine. T...
