It appears 160 Cupra Borns have been recalled. These are all undelivered cars. They all have a steering column fault. Our dealer SMC Woking will offer us a loan car to enable us to trade in our ICE car. No idea when the steering column fault will be fixed.

We've been told a whole batch of undelivered Borns have a steering column fault so our car is being recovered from Emden and a new Born will be manufactured to the original specification. So massive delay now. No time frame offerd.

Has anyone had a Born delivery in March? If so, when did it leave the VW factory?

I think I saw a user on the ID3 forum claim their leasing company said no ferries for a few.weeks to ship VW cars!

Does anyone know how the Born purchasing system works nowadays? A couple of weeks ago, I popped into a Cupra dealership to order a Born. They told me that because they are now agents of Cupra, all they do is send my request to Cupra who will then take over the sales process. It's been two weeks now...

Delays and more delays. We've been told that even though our Born left the factory on 22 February, because of limited ferries and UK lorry drivers, our car could take 6 weeks to arrive at the dealer!

Our Cupra dealer SMC is saying delays on delivery. I assume because of limited car ferries and lorry drivers in the UK. Our Born left factor 22 Feb and we're expecting it get to dealer now end of March.
