Re: Charging costs are killing me
I get the frustration. You do have to be somewhat technically inclined to set this up and it certainly took more than one attempt for me to get the test charge completed. I can't imagine my 70 year old parents wanting to faff about with logons to various apps just to get the car set up to charge! H...

Agreed. A battery on its own doesn't give a viable ROI unless you have Solar Panels. I would disagree. I have solar and no battery but if I knew what I know now, I would buy a large battery and not have solar. With a 10kWh battery you could fill it overnight for 7p/kWh and then run your whole house...

Re: Charging costs are killing me
We have the Smart meter. But until I can get the Octopus app to control 'something', its pretty much mute. This is looking like a long phone call to Octopus. TBH the whole process is far too complicated. I just don't understand why everything has to take 'up to 10 minutes' when setting it up. The Z...

Re: I Need Advice on Upgrading My Cupraborn Engine for Better Performance
I don't get why an AI bot would post something like this. What could they possibly get from this? AI software developers do this all the time to test how good their product is. Someone didn't use HI (Human Intelligence) to realize that this type of question is obvious nonsense in an EV forum. What ...

Nice. Are you referencing KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand) as in Knight Rider?

Re: Only getting 3.8kwh charge on schedule
You don't say what make of wall charger you have at home. On my Zappi, I have to make sure it is set to "fast" mode as the default is "Eco" which will only deliver the lower rate of charge.

I can't answer the first part although if it is the same as the Golf, you would need to replace all the suspension units and sensors as well as being able to update the control unit. On your second point, just today I had to do a motorway trip that crosses several elevated sections (Spaghetti Juncti...

I don't believe that for one minute. The number of times dummies have pulled out in front of me I'm convinced my car is invisible!

Re: Intelligent Octopus schedule charging not working!!
Well I am looking at going over to Octopus Intelligent imminently due to my high electric bills... I have a 7kw Zappi charger But I read this and now it fills me with dread that I am going to have all this messing around trying to get it to work..... Cupra App this, Octopus App that, Zappi App this...

Re: Charging costs are killing me
Well.... I am going with Octopus, assuming they get the meter installed (which is where they fell down last time) Good choice. And surprisingly cheap once you're on the tariff. And you get loads of data about your usage and costs. Also stupidly, you can't go straight on the EV tariff. You have to g...
