Re: V2 e-Boost incoming
Given recent pricing, Octopus tracker seems a better bet the Go/Intelligent/Agile if your home electricity is around the same as that needed for the car. Daily prices float around 15 -18p per kWh (13.58p today). Those cheap charging prices are usually offset by higher than cap prices. I prefer 16p p...

Re: Cupra Born V1 - Colour Choices UK
Nope V2. V2 has the best looking wheels in the range IMO.

Re: Cupra Born V1 - Colour Choices UK
We had a Glacier White Born, and still have Aurora blue one. I preferred the White. We also had an ID3 in whatever VW call the Quasar grey colour - looked great in the ID3. the born's shape and detailing are lost in it. Really don't like undercoat grey.

Re: Puncture - Anyone know if Repairable?
I have 2 new Michelin Primacys on the back now, and retained the 1 good tyre as a spare (might try and source a steel wheel as a true "soare". With nearly 12k miles done, there was about 2.7mm left on the Conti self seal rears. Costco categorically stated that Conti self seals xan't be rep...

Re: New Member
Not new to the Cupra family, but new to the EV ownership. Had a Cupra Leon 300, 2x Cupra Atecas, a Cupra Formentor VZ2 And now ordered a Born V3 in Glacier White. Hopefully get it in a couple of weeks as we picked an available car. Just waiting for Octopus to install our Zappi and link it upto out ...

Re: Golf R to Cupra Born....
I don't recall axle tramp in my GTD. I do recall the torque would overpower the traction in the dry a little, but easy to control and it would torque steer in the wet. I found it to be a similar drive to the GTI of the same period in non performance variant. Actually probably a more engaging drive ...

Re: Puncture - Anyone know if Repairable?
I'd like to move away from EV specific tyres if possible - they are so thin, no wonder they are always getting punctured! I have bought some Michelin Primacy e in 215/50 R19 to replace both back tyres, and have one as a spare (2 if the punctured one is repairable). Might also try to source a suitabl...

Another puncture. 2 punctures in 10k miles, these tyres seem pretty crap.

Re: Golf R to Cupra Born....
I used to have a mk7 GTD and it was my favourite long term car to own. Best all rounder I've had for sure if not the fastest or most exotic. My mate had the R and we once swapped cars for a couple of days. Once I got over the initial impression of grip and power of the R on my commute to work I may...
