Re: Mis sold… or doing it wrong?

^ To add to the above, when VAG set up their recommendations, they presumably had no reliable long term time/distance/recharge data over a decade, just accelerated simulations over perhaps the space of 3 or 4 years. If you cane your battery from 100-2% every cycle, the warranty will still kick in to...

Re: Centre Arm Rest

I find the arm rest fine for me, I must either have a longer than average upper arm, or shorter than average body 🤪 When people are talking about a 'wedge' to raise the armrest height, do you mean as it it was opened slightly, so it's on a slope, rather than being flat when it's closed? I might hav...

Re: Wheel Protectors

TheC9nti 6 tyreshave a reasonablelip on them for the19" V2 wheels. It would take quite a clumsy park to scrape the alloys.

Re: New Bloke, with little idea

I find pops, bangs and engine note to be subjective - love it on my mate's RS3, but being followed by an old Fiesta ST yesterday with an annoying drone and very forced pops and bangs, I just felt embarrassed for the lad driving it! Left it for dead entering the coast road from 20-75mph, and it...

Re: Battery % increases when driving

Mine has crept up by 1 or 2% before, definitely not 5 or 7%. I've attributed my rise to charging overnight in cool conditions and the first I see of the car is when the ambient temp has gone up by as much as 7C. This potential to rise is why we have a headspace in the battery capacity (58kWh useable...

Re: Centre Arm Rest

I do wonder why a ratchet wasn't included. It could put a lot of stress on the hinge, but VAG have been making armrests with ratchets for years.

I might have to make an insert at some point, more for the wife's sake than mine, the standard height is just about manageable for me.

Re: Born 8 days ago

It's possibly exclusivity. I can't find Aurora Blue available on other Seat or Cupra cars. It may be like the Lapiz Blue on the Golf range which is only available on the R version. If you see a Lapiz Blue Golf on the road, you know it's an R. And you pay extra for that. Paying more for Lapiz is a r...

For those still umming and arring which colour to choose, the blue is actually even more expensive than the regular metallics, by £275 !!! why?
Because they can. It won't cost them appreciably more to apply it, it's not some special triple layered paint - just simple profiteering.

Re: Driver profile mode

Nope,

The car always reverts to comfort mode - probably some EU efficiency protocol being foisted upon us. You can make the car remember you turned off lane assist so it doesn't come back on every ignition cycle with OBD11.

Re: Rubber Mats

For UK stuff like this, try "Drive Den" - they have some great stuff on there, but last time I looked, they didn't have floor mats, load liners. I kept the genuine rubber mats from my ID3 because the Cupra ones had an item code but couldn't be bought when I got the car (June).
